The knifemaker

Martin Alazetta, knife maker based in the Tarn, in the heart of Occitanie. Driven by a passion for metal and wood, I design and make every knife entirely by hand in my workshop. Each piece is unique and grows out of meticulous work, from forging the blade to the finishing of the handle and the sheath.

I pay particular attention to the choice of materials, favouring local wood species whenever possible. My approach combines traditional craftsmanship, technical rigour and a search for beauty, in order to create knives that are at once functional, durable and singular.

Through each of my creations, I try to pass on the taste for work done well, and to offer objects designed to last through time and accompany their owner day after day. I also take on bespoke commissions, to design unique pieces tailored to the wishes, the uses and the needs of each customer.
